Wrath of the Lich King concepts

2 Years ago, I did preproduction concept art for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. These images were requested to be simply "quick sketches" just showing mood, silhouette and an interesting and creative visual direction for each of the unique zones. Though, I left WoW about 1.5 years ago to work on Diablo, some of these images still echo into the beautiful monsterpiece that is Wotlk. And the team did an incredible job. I too in fact am desperately attempting to make time to play it.

Hey Tokka, I probably spent about 2-3 hours on each of these pieces. Back then I was doing 1-3 per day. Production art requires several meetings per day as well, and that cuts into drawing time, so sometimes its better to just work faster.

Wrath was my favorite expansion because of the art direction, the music and the story line. It's awesome you got to be part of that. Nice work.
